In an update to our earlier news on the Far Cry Collection, Ubisoft has confirmed to us that the bundle which includes Far Cry, Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, and Far Cry: Blood Dragon will indeed be exclusive to the Playstation 3, at least for the time being, we received the following statement from Ubisoft in regards to our question over it’s exclusivity:
” For now it’s just a compilation for Playstation 3″
While this could mean that the collection is truly exclusive to the PS3, the wording certainly indicates that a port to other platforms is very likely within the coming months. Far Cry Collection releases on Playstation 3 on February 14, 2014.

Interesting that Far Cry 1 was never developed for or released on any console including xbox or ps2.
And instead a spin off of far cry hit the xbox (far cry instincts / predator) and was cancelled when being ported to ps2.
And again when xbox 360 launched both games where bundled exclusively for 360.
So the big news here is that Far Cry 10+ years after release is finally making its way to console.
