Viz Media continues its growth of the RWBY manga license with the anthology series:
VIZ Media is is excited to add the oft-requested RWBY OFFICIAL MANGA ANTHOLOGY to its lineup this summer! The anthology is inspired by the popular online anime-style series created by Monty Oum and produced by the Austin, TX-based Rooster Teeth Productions. With the sixth season coming this fall, RWBY was the first western-produced anime series to be distributed in Japan, and has garnered a fervent fan-following around the world!
Each of the four volumes in the RWBY OFFICIAL MANGA ANTHOLOGY focuses on a different member of Team RWBY, and contains 15 short stories by different Japanese manga creators. In addition, each volume contains notes from RWBY character designer Ein Lee, along w/ bonus messages from the voice actors who play the featured characters. The first volume, RED LIKE ROSES, features team leader Ruby Rose, and will be available this summer!
In RWBY, four different girls are brought together for one legendary purpose! Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang are students at Beacon Academy, an ancient school designed to train the monster slayers known as Hunters and Huntresses. Unfortunately, monsters aren’t the only threat in the world of Remnant, and if these girls want to graduate, they’ll have to learn to work together – both on the battlefield and in the classroom!
