According to some eagle eyed fans Toei Animation may be planning the next canonical Dragon Ball film, while no information regarding the possible film has been announced or confirmed a URL; DragonBall2018.com was recently popped up and was indeed confirmed to be property of the aforementioned studio, the URL is important to note due to the fact that 2013’s ‘Battle of the Gods’ originally had the URL DragonBall2013.com, while 2015’s ‘Resurrection F’ had the URL DragonBall2015.com, mangaka Akira Toriyama had recently confirmed that both films were canon to the Dragon Ball lore a few years back, and they were both adapted into anime format for Dragon Ball Super in 2015. Given the situation it could be inferred that this possible third film is canonical like the previous two, this would make the would be Dragon Ball film the 20th (including original Dragon Ball films) in the series overall, and as mentioned before the third canonical film if Toei and Akira were to continue the recent trend.
