Love Lust Faith + Dreams

The fourth studio album from 30 Seconds to Mars, is titled Love Lust Faith + Dreams.

The Good:

They have kept the electronic instruments, only they have taken a bigger role when making this album. The electronic instruments are always accompanied by a real instrument, so this band is still classified as rock, they haven’t switched over to completely electronic. This album is a little bit different.  It shows that the band is evolving, something that some artists don’t understand. Change helps an artist evolve and keep us entertained. Thirty Seconds to Mars took a chance, and they nailed it.

The Bad:

The album has a couple odd songs. They are songs that aren’t really like anything important… they just seem random and out of place. These songs are Birth, Pyres of Varanasi and Convergence. They are just repetitive beats and end with a voice saying either Love, Faith, or Dreams. Conquistador ends with the word ‘lust,’ but that was actually a decent song.

The Ugly:

The annoying monotone voice that says Love, that the end of Birth, Lust, at the end of Conquistador, Faith, at the end of Pyres of Varanasi, and Dream at the end of Convergence. It is pointless. They have done it in other albums, but in this one it just seems off.

Score: 85
