Kingdom is an 2012 shounen anime series, it is produced by Studio Pierrot,  and licensed by Funimation. Both seasons are currently available on DVD & Blu-Ray in English.

Xin continues his growth, and so does the anime series with season two.

Season two of Kingdom has improved the series in several areas, including some gripes I had with season one. The animation is far more enjoyable to look at than most of season one, and the Warring States China story gets better as Xin ages.  The animation has improved vastly and makes the overall experience of season two much more enjoyable.

Xin's consistent growth is one of the series highlights featured in season two.

THE GOOD: The poor CG from season one has thankfully disappeared, making season two far more watchable & even enjoyable this time around. As the series continues, Xin’s growth as a man and as a warrior becomes somewhat of a focal point. The voice acting doesn’t come off as completely cheesy in season two either.

Solid and much needed improvements are present in season two of Kingdom.

THE BAD: The dialogue is still pretty horrid for the English, though the voice actors try damn hard to work with it as best as they can.

A second effort for Kingdom makes it worth giving a try.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: With improved animation, voice acting, and other improvements from the season one setbacks season two at least provides those who gave season one a chance enough to invest in a second chance. The growth of Xin truly adds to the story and is one of the anime’s biggest pluses. However, some issues like cheesy dub dialogue and improved though still bad voice acting persists. Otaku Dome gives Kingdom: The Complete Second Season an 75 out of 100.
