In a move that should come as no surprise to anyone WWE has officially confirmed the return of Dave Batista to the company. Batista will return on the go home show for the Royal Rumble PPV which is quite fitting given the timing. After his return was spoiled by a Las Vegas ticket vendor website this past weekend, WWE were said to have been livid over the leak, and asked that all advertisers remove any and all mentions of “The Animal”. The surprising thing is is that WWE announced Batista’s official return date on tonight’s Christmas edition of RAW which was taped last week. The Company aired a vignette hyping his January 20th return. (which can be viewed below). It’ll be interesting to see rather Batista’s return alignment is as a heel or face, especially given the last promo he gave four years ago (also seen below:
