After a long hiatus, and English dubbing issues, Inuyasha: The Final Act has been released to the states on DVD and Blu-Ray. Inuyasha, Kagome, and their friends battle the evil Naraku and his forces for the final time in the 26 episode finale to the original long-running anime series.
Inuyasha: The Final Act is an 2009 anime series produced by Sunrise, and licensed by Viz Media. It is currently available through streaming, and DVD & Blu-Ray.
After years of waiting, the English dub of Inuyasha: The Final Act is finally available for fans of the long-running series. Inuyasha, Kagome, Shippo, Miroku, Sango, Kikyo, Kohaku, and Sesshomaru battle the evil Naraku for the final time.
THE GOOD: While these are the final 26 episodes of the long awaited finale to Inuyasha, nothing much has changed except for more modern animation, which is good, this isn’t exactly a new series, just the finale arc coming to an more proper close. The return of the original English dub cast was a welcome sight after the not so great English dub cast when the series first got dubbed a few years ago. The action and comedy is still the same from the original 100+ episode series.
THE BAD: The only negative is that the series couldn’t be longer, admittedly after how things went down with the anime’s original run, it’s understandable how they wanted this send off to be short and sweet.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: The Final Act, does exactly what it’s supposed to do, bring fans of a great anime adaptation the close they deserve. Full of great moments and proper adaptation from the source material, Inuyasha: The Final Act, is the short but sweet finale we’ve been waiting for all of those years. Otaku Dome gives Inuyasha: The Final Act an 80 out of 100.
