Fairy Tail Part 13 covers the Starry Sky arc which has Natsu and the Fairy Tail Wizards in a trio group battle over the Infinity Clock, and more importantly Lucy’s life. The Starry Sky arc isn’t exactly Fairy Tail at it’s best, but it’s certainly skip able, thankfully this is only a filler arc and a lead in to the canon Magical Games Arc.

Fairy Tail is an 2009 Shonen anime series, it is produced by A-1 Pictures and licensed by Funimation, Part 13 covers the Starry Sky Arc. Fairy Tail is currently available through streaming services, as well as DVD and Blu-Ray.

The Starry Sky Arc isn’t really Fairy Tail at it’s greatest. The arc itself isn’t bad, it just doesn’t really wow in the long run. Throughout the 12 episode filler arc, the Oracion Seis returns, which was by far the most entertaining thing about it, however it’s a little disappointing that great canon side characters had to get bundled into filler.

THE GOOD: The good thing about the Starry Sky arc is that it’s filler, if it were canon this would be Fairy Tail at its darkest hour. The return of the Oracion Seis was great to see, but it’s honestly one of the few redeeming qualities, along with the return of some characters from the Edolas arc returning, albeit in their Earth Land forms. The B story was also the most entertaining part of the Starry Sky arc.

THE BAD: The Starry Sky arc never really feels like it goes anywhere, I liked some of the characters like Mary Hughes and Michelle & Coco were somewhat enjoyable, but overall it just felt like it was filler just doing filler. Not that this is the bad thing, as I’ve seen some fairly enjoyable filler arcs in the past, but Starry Sky is quite skip able if you’re just looking to go for canon.

The B story was fairly entertaining in all honesty.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: While Starry Sky isn’t Fairy Tail at it’s best, it doesn’t really have to be as it’s filler. Some great characters like Mary Hughes and the B story make the arc, but overall any Fairy Tail fans looking to skip it in favor of just watching the canon will have no issues doing so.
