Comedy Central has renewed several series:

NEW YORK, March 29, 2016 – Comedy Central President, Original Programming, Kent Alterman, today announces renewals and extensions for eight current series:

  • “Tosh.0 – renewed for a ninth season, “0” features razor-sharp humor and biting commentary from comedian Daniel Tosh. Currently airing Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m., the weekly, topical series, which recently hit its 200th episode, delves into all aspects of the Internet from the absolutely absurd to the incredibly ingenious, with episodes featuring popular recurring segments like “Video Breakdown,” “20 Seconds on the Clock,” and the series’ signature “Web Redemption,” in which Tosh gives subjects of notorious viral videos a second chance to redeem themselves from the embarrassment with which they have become synonymous. “Tosh.0” is executive produced by Daniel Tosh, Charlie Siskel and Christie Smith. Gary Mann is the Executive in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
  • “Not Safe with Nikki Glaser” – extended for an additional ten first season episodes, “Not Safe,” currently airing Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m., features self-proclaimed “curious perv” Nikki Glaser and is a destination to discover, ogle, and laugh about all things sex through a fun, frank, fast-paced show with panel discussion, field pieces, and social experiments that is equal parts hilarious and titillating. First season guests have included comedians T.J. Miller, Chris Hardwick, Grace Helbig and Kristen Schaal, among others, who joke, learn, and share their personal stories about sex and relationships. Developed and introduced across multiple social platforms before its linear premiere, including Comedy Central’s best performing Snapchat original series, “Quickie with Nikki” on the Comedy Central Discover channel, the weekly series features ongoing social games like “Tinder Tapout” and “Sext Symbols.” The series is executive produced by Nikki Glaser, Chris Convy, showrunner Chris McGuire and Brillstein Entertainment Partners’ Alex Murray.   • “Drunk History” – renewed for a fourth season, the Emmy® Award-winning “Drunk History” pairs inebriated storytellers up with A-list talent to provide a unique take on the familiar and less familiar people and events from our country and around the world as they reenact moments in history with unforgettable results. The fourth season is set to premiere in September. Created for television by Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner, “Drunk History” is produced by Gary Sanchez Productions and executive produced by Waters and Konner, along with Gary Sanchez Productions’ Will Ferrell,
    Adam McKay and Owen Burke. Ian Friedman and Daniel Wolfberg are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central. Guest stars during the series’ third season included Jason Alexander, Blake Anderson, Jack Black, Michael Cera, Kat Dennings, Adam Devine, Giancarlo Esposito, Will Ferrell, Nathan Fillion, Topher Grace, Tony Hale, Colin Hanks, Josh Hartnett, Ellie Kemper, Greg Kinnear, Johnny Knoxville, Natasha Leggero, Thomas Lennon, Justin Long, Jack McBrayer, Christopher Meloni, Stephen Merchant, Patton Oswalt, Chelsea Peretti, Parker Posey, Dennis Quaid, Jason Ritter, Sam Rockwell, Maya Rudolph, Octavia Spencer, and Noah Wyle, among many others.
  • “Review” – renewed for a third and final season, “Review” follows life reviewer Forrest MacNeil (played by Andy Daly) who avoids the boring subjects like film, food or art, instead opting for the tough subjects like joining the mile high club, living life according to the Magic 8 Ball, and even leading a cult. As always, MacNeil approaches these challenges with unwavering commitment, regardless of the personal consequences. “Review” is executive produced by Andy Daly, Jeffrey Blitz (“The Office”), Andy Blitz (“Late Night with Conan O’Brien”) and Charlie Siskel (“Tosh.0”). The series is directed by Jeffrey Blitz. Gary Mann is the Executive in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
  • “This Is Not Happening” – renewed for a third season, the stand-up series features host Ari Shaffir and his comedian friends telling hilarious and true stories in front of a live audience at Cheetahs in Hollywood. The second season of “This Is Not Happening”, currently airing Tuesdays at 12:30 a.m., is executive produced by Ari Shaffir, Jeff Tomsic, who directs, Eric Abrams, who also serves as showrunner, and Avalon’s Sam Saifer, and features stories from Jim Breuer, Moshe Kasher, Kyle Kinane, Artie Lange, Al Madrigal, Kurt Metzger, Henry Rollins, Nick Swardson, Ron White, among others, reliving their favorite, most embarrassing, or just plain funniest true-life tales around topics including Crime, Romance, Disaster, Nostalgia and Karma. “This Is Not Happening” originally debuted as a digital series on cc.com which continues to feature exclusive digital stories throughout the run of new episodes. Anne Harris and Ryan Moran are the Executives in Charge for Comedy Central.
  • “Alternatino” – this Comedy Central digital series returns to follow “Broad City’s” Arturo Castro as he attempts to examine life as a modern Latino – whatever that means. Ari Pearce and Jose Acevedo are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
  • “Nothin’s Easy” – David Angelo (Shark Week, “The Daily Show”) is a writer/performer in the comedic sweet spot between “world-weary bitterness” and “being found unresponsive in a bus terminal.” Following up on the success of the first season of the Comedy Central digital series written by Angelo and directed by Sam Sklaver (“Blunt Talk”), “Nothin’s Easy” continues its extraordinary run of finding the tragedy in any funny situation.
  • “Questionable Science” – this Comedy Central digital series stars Rich Fulcher as “Professor Rich” and his Unfocused Group as they answer some of science’s greatest mysteries. In season two, “Professor Rich” once again heads into uncharted scientific waters asking real scientists really dumb questions. Written by Doug Karo and Fulcher and co-directed by Nick Corirossi and Charles Ingram. Jordan Ellner is the Executive in Charge for Comedy Central.
