Anarbor is a alternative/punk rock band formed in 2003 in Phoenix, AZ. This is their fifth album. I can’t wait to see these guys touring with Warped Tour this year!

The Good: This album is a good addition to any alternative rock fan’s library. The songs are catchy, enjoyable, and I could replay this album all day. The main problem I encounter with the punk rock genre is that all the songs sound the same. That isn’t a problem here. All the songs are original, and you don’t get the feeling of, “This sounds familiar.” Some songs that stick out to me are: Every High Has a Come Down, Damage I’ve Done, Take My Pain Away, and Freaks. When I first listened to this album, it was just so soothing, and addictive. I’m defiantly going to the buy the deluxe version. The deluxe version of this album comes with four acoustic songs, Every High Has a Come Down, 18, Take My Pain Away, and Whisky in Hell. You can listen to this album right now, before the release date of June 4th, on Hopeless Record’s YouTube page, all seventeen songs.

The Bad: You sometimes get a cliché feeling when listening to this album, the punk rock cliché love song. It is a reoccurring theme in this genre, it isn’t a terrible thing. Just sometimes it is an overused theme. This isn’t in all the songs, just a few.

The Ugly: Nothing is really wrong with this album. It is well crafted.

The Score:

  • Music Structure: 90
  • First Listen: 95
  • Replay Value: 85
  • Overall: 90
