According to a report on Gamespot, EA has secured rights to TitanFall 2 (and likely future games in the series). The deal was based on how well the original title did which was said to be seeing good numbers in sales. Microsoft currently owns exclusive rights over the original game. EA CFO Blake Jorgenson previously hinted at this report by stating that he was “sure the game would potentially come to Playstation and Nintendo platforms”. This news is rather interesting if true, as EA & Respawn have continuously stated that the original Titanfall was “always” going to release on Xbox after plans for initial PC exclusivity fell through. It was previously rumored that the original game was going to be multiplat.
